The Hospitality Speakers Bureau is an opportunity to increase communication and education between the two interlocked fields, hospitality and education, and provide one strategy to improve the quality of future employees. This is a chance for hospitality professionals to speak to parent groups, at career counselor in-service trainings and to administrators to educate them about the professional paths available in San Diego's third largest industry in hopes that they will implement and broaden hospitality courses of study and promote student enrollment.

The HRP facilitates hospitality professionals' participation on advisory boards for high schools, vocational schools, community colleges and universities. Advisory members facilitate connecting the student's learning experience to the hospitality community. They also contribute to the writing of curriculum that match the needs of the local industry, while high schools develop more concise articulation standards for the local colleges. Finally, the speaker's bureau facilitates mentoring and intern opportunities, connecting students with real world standards rather than just text book theory.
